A remarkable man. Another would only talk to me about his problems if I framed them in terms of what Spiderman might think. Someone else suddenly got the idea of past, present, and future (therapy sessions) through past, present, and future episodes of Dr Who. They have been interesting times.

Thank you, I have had some of the best times working with people with Down’s, and some of the most heart-wrenching too.One man, deaf as a post so we yelled sensitive material at each other, grasped that he could keep his memories of his mother in his heart. He showed me what this meant by clasping his hands to his chest, then extending his arms outwards saying, ‘I can have my mum in my heart, and build a rainbow to the future’. I didn’t prompt that and it still gives me goose bumps.
